The ideal location between Potsdam and Magdeburg offers exploration of the picturesque heath landscape of the Jerichower Land and the nearby Flaeming.

The landscape is characterized by extensive arable land, lush meadows, small streams and natural forests. Ideal for nature lovers, hikers and cyclists, as there are hardly any differences in altitude to overcome.

In the “Flaeming/Saxony-Anhalt” nature park, interested visitors will find a very diverse range of plants and animals. Particularly noteworthy here are one of the few European occurrences of great bustards and the wolf has also become native again.

Those interested in culture and history can go on a discovery tour through the Middle Ages and follow the Romanesque Road to, among other places, St. Petri Church in Leitzkau, the two Romanesque churches in Burg, the village church in Redekin and the monastery in Jerichow, the most important brick building in northern Germany, or to the former bishop's residence in Ziesar.
